High Throughput Protein Identification from 2D Gels (>48 Spots) by MALDI-TOF/TOF

This method will identify proteins with fewer peptides than in LC-ESI-MS/MS but is cheaper when a large number of samples have to be processed. This is typically recommended when performing a 2D-PAGE/DIGE experiment and having numerous spots to identify.

The price includes the trypsin digestion, the MALDI-MS and MS/MS analysis, the database search and the reporting but varies depending on the number of samples to analyze. Please contact us for a personalized quote.

What is delivered?

A list of proteins identified with relevant statistical values. For these proteins, you will have access to the list of peptides that were identified.

Report and results will be sent by email. Results are generally available in 15 working days.

Raw data are available on request.

What is needed for these analyses?

For in gel digestion, better identification results are obtained with spots visible by Coomassie blue staining.

- For 2D-PAGE/DIGE: gel plugs must be 1.5 mm in diameter and be transferred in an Eppendorf twin.tec PCR plate 96, semi skirted (order no: Eppendorf®, 0030 128.575). Wells A2, A4, A6, A8, A10 and A12 have to be empty on each 96 wells plate to allow the Facility to process Quality Control samples in parallel of the samples.
